    Default Bidirectional controls and spark....

How much real time control do you have with the birectional controls? I haven't used this feature yet and wanted to know if we load the car on the dyno, can we add timing under load. Also if we are adding timing, how can we see what load vs. rpm cell we are in so we can go back and make the permanent change.

I have found that using the bidi control for spark at idle have caused the car to surge, not sure about under load conditions.

Anyway, later versions (get the latest) of EFILive will highlight the cell in the Tune Tool when scanning/recording, no longer just at playback/review of the log So you can probably use that to identify the cell you wish to change.

The better answer IMO is to get the RoadRunner. That way you can actually increase/decrease the actual spark value without having to override the PCM control.
