Default Timing and tire spin question

If I were wanting remove timing to help with traction off the line, what would be the best rpm/map areas to remove the timing? Also, how much timing is safe to remove? This is on a TT 402 cu in, 4l65e C5Z06, using 28/11.5/16 QTP Hoosiers.

Log launching and find out. Every rig is different.

I've been doing that. I just wanted suggestions on what may be enough and what may be too much. Trying to get in the ball park without hurting anything.

Burst knock retard can be used to help with this, as long as there are no other large changes in airflow during the run.

I have never tried this, but the theory behind it is to allow burst knock to trigger and decay as required at the hit of the throttle.Take a look at the burst knock retard delta airmass table. By logging Delta Airmass which I think you will need to construct a calc.pid for, and populating the table as required, you should be able to retard timing from the hit due to the large spike in Delta airmass. Then tune the decay rate to suit.
