    Default Dumb Question

    Hello,

Lets say that I have injectors that are exactly 2 times bigger then stock. The truck has no way of knowing that I have replaced the injectors so if all things are equal, theoretically the injectors should be spraying twice the fuel into the cylinder right (with same main injection pulse time)? In other words, injection time should be roughly cut in half in order to get close to stock right?

    Thanks in advance.

Sort of. The injection pressure also has an effect on the fuel quantity injected. When you say 2 times bigger, do you mean 200% nozzles? Most injector builders send out a flow sheet to give you an idea of how much fuel will be injected at a given pressure and duration. You will need to use that to tune them.

Without that all you can do is start lowering duration and increasing pressure (bigger nozzles normally need more pressure to atomize the fuel correctly at low rpm) until the hazing/smoke output is acceptable.
