Default Service Bay test for E38

how do you activate the service bay test with the scan tool, when I click on them with flashscan connected but not recording and the DVT Activate clicked, and click on the service bay test(Example Evap) it says in the lower right corner that they say test activate but doesn't tell you to do anything,
I know with the tech 2 when doing service bay tests it instructs you to hold specific rpm, etc..

The Service Bay EVAP test shuts off both ends of the EVAP plumbing (i.e. vent solenoid at fuel tank, purge solenoid at intake manifold) so you can apply vacuum at the service port so you can determine how well it holds vacuum...

i.e. test is usually done with engine off (now, having said that, let me check the SM).
