Default PTO and CSP5 Switched Tune

Had been thumbing through the CSP5 manual and started to read up on the switched tune (Grounding C2-38 to activate the tune). The idea was to use it as a "valet" or "anti-theft" tune. But then I came across this . . .

F1041 - "Used to Enable/Disable the PTO (Power Take Off) option. If using the plug C2, pin 38 discrete input to switch tunes then this must be set to disable."

Does this mean that to use the switched tune, manual high-idle can not be used? I currently have C2-22 grounded and use cruise to ramp up idle during the winter.

From the way I understand it yes you'll lose high idle via cruise control.

That's what I thought too, but wasn't certain. I'm not sure how EFILive repurposes internal circuits and inputs/outputs for different kinds of magic.

I guess the next logical question would be . . . what's going to happen if the switch tune (C2-38) is used and PTO is still enabled?

EFILive probably won't let you compile the tune but if it does one or both options won't work.

Really wish they could have put this on a different pin.

Couldn't agree more! Now I need to decide which is more important / useful . . . security of the truck not being stolen or convenience of a quick warm-up on cold mornings. . .

Another question on the same subject . . . will it hurt anything if both C2-38 and C2-22 grounded?

Sorry but I don't know what C2-22 is for

(C2-22) is a pin that needs to be grounded for PTO/High Idle to work on manual transmissions.

I thought the pin for high idle was 38 since that's what the 6th tune uses. If their different pins then I'm with you why can't both be enabled? I want the 6th tune while at the same time keeping high idle, my plan was to buy BDs high idle kit once I got annoyed enough at not having it.

Guys, I am little rusty on this because it was four years ago I walked this path but here goes.
The wiring diagram I have here for these trucks shows C2, 38 to be unused in any application (but is called a PTO input) and high idle via the Cruise Control is a different thing to the PTO input from my understanding.
Pin C2, 22 is the clutch switch for manual transmissions.

With the BD High Idle kit do you know what pins it connected to? And it is different to the Cruise Control activated High Idle?
