Default Add ability to copy VIN in V8 tuning restrictions window

    Paul (or Ross)-

When you open up a restricted file, the window comes up with "security restrictions are active for this file".

Where it says "restricted to controller with VIN: xxxxxxxxxxxx"

Would it be possible to add the ability to right click on that VIN and copy the VIN to clipboard?

When Im doing tune updates/revisions for customers, it would be nice/fastest for me to just open up the original file, copy the VIN, then open up the revised file, and paste the VIN in when I set security restrictions.

(this is on BCM tune files, so Im not working in V7 tuning tool at all, just using V8 to change the bin into ctz, and add security restrictions)

    Thanks
    Ben

Have you tried Highlighting the VIN and then using keyboard shortcuts Ctrl C (Copy) and then Ctrl V (Paste)?
If it isn't possible to highlight it on that screen then you should be able to on the next screen (V8 Scan and Tune)

    Yes, I'll add that.

Meanwhile, you may be able to use this new feature instead (to copy security restrictions from one file to another):
