    Default First timer here, about to tackle the 0411 swap

    Hello, I have a 96 c1500 and I'm throwing in my 350 vortec in there. I have the 0411 pcm, wanting to know what's all needed to make this work. Thanks!

    Since I noticed the post finally went through, let me tell you the story on this. You can disregard this portion if you don't to read it.

    Bought the truck for 600 dollars, from my fiance friend who is scared of driving it due to miles (250k). Got it going and running great. Has a 305 vortec v8 and a 700r4 electronic trans (same as 4l60e). Yesterday, it died on my driveway. Missing like hell. I also have my 65k mile 350 vortec I snagged for 600 with the 4x4 trans that I'm not using. The engine will be used. I also snagged a 700r4 trans from the wreckers for 150 that was rebuilt by jaspers. Anyways, I used the fuel spider, dizzy, rotor, wires, plufs, new fuel pump and filter, and ignition module and 5he engine still ran like crap.....until the real reason pops out. I was missing water out the exhaust, my radiator flushed out 6 gallons of water and my oil became coffee colored.

    Needless to say....its time lol.

    So I'm currently collecting parts, and upgrading too. I have the 350 vortec, marine intake with injectors, 0411 pcm from a 2002 express van with the vortec 350, hooker headers from a 94 lt1 camaro, and the 700r4 trans. So im excited to give her a nice heart and to keep miles off my 2011 550i that I have to daily for abit until this is done.

    I read a lot about the 0411 pcm and it's capabilities, sounds brass so hopefully I get support of this dated mod.

    Check this site --> http://www.gmtruckcentral.com/articles/12200411.html

    Then PM Lextech for the wiring schematic/pinout list. It's easier than it looks. Trust meh!

    Thank you SS2win I have pmed lextech and awaiting his response. Hopefully it's as easy as it sounds. I'm sure the hardest part is getting the 411 tuned and code out vats and such.

    he's got a starter tune for you as well. the job is intimidating at first but once you get a few wires moved it rolls along pretty smoothly. read the spreadsheet twice. do one wire at a time. be SURE you move them to the right position and it's a breeze.

    Sweet, this should be exciting. This will give the truck a new meaning haha. The marine intake will help too along with my hooker headers. It might not fit though so I may get the proper ones. I grabbed the headers from the junkyard from a 94 camaro z28 with the lt1.

    Looks like I'll be starting to tear out the old 305 out the truck soon. My upper intake should be here Monday and will tear down the 350 for a refresh.

    Does the pm works Here? I pmed lextech about the pinouts, hopefully he received them.

    I understand since it's thanksgiving, I'm sure a lot of people are out lol...
