2016 GMC DENALI
A8 TRANSMISSION

STOCK FILES:

This is the first time I'm actually playing with the A8 and I started looking through the file.
My customer does not like the way the truck shifts. I drove it and I would have to agree!!!!
It is not at all like the 5.3L A8 or even the Corvette A8. It isn't responsive and fairly lazy. So, this is causing a few issue's and I'm hoping that someone may have come across this and may have some answers that can help me out.

When driving the vehicle, you have to really bury your foot into the throttle to get the transmission to downshift. I think I may have found out why:

If you look at the TPS scaling for when the transmission is looking at when to shift, the resolution is nothing like a Corvette.
A Corvette is:
0 6 12 19 25 31 37 44 50 56 62 69 75 81 87 94 100

A 5.3L A8 is:
0 6 12 19 25 31 37 44 50 56 62 69 75 81 87 94 100

THEY MATCH!!!!!

I'm thinking that if I could get the resolution on the Axis to mimic a Corvette, that I could get the trucks transmission to be more responsive and not feel so "lazy".
I don't want to mess with B8802 too much as it can make the throttle a bit touchy. I don't mind trying a few different settings here, but I'm thinking the resolution is the main issue.

Has anyone performed a "Full Flash" into a newer A8 with the OS from a Corvette, or maybe a 5.3L truck A8
I didn't want to experiment with it for fear of "bricking" the ECU or doing something that may cause permanent damage.

Thank you.
