Default Difference in vve table hp to efi live

I have a VF SSV commodore redline I have been
using hp tuner and not having much success sorting an issue
Car goes well afrs good but will randomly cut out especially after
a wot pull and only around 1400-1800 rpm and approx. 25% throttle.
Nothing I could do would get rid of the issue.
I also had another ve commodore do this.
Change to efi live and no issues.
I have compared the same tune from the vf read with both
vve looks good with hp tuner but read with efi and it looks all over the shop.
Will I also have any issues if I license and start tuning with efi live?

EFILive knows EXACTLY what the issue is with those random cut outs , we hit that when we did the Virtual VE stuff back in 2007 or so and the problem is automatically corrected in the background with our software.

"vve looks good with hp tuner but read with efi and it looks all over the shop."

Without seeing what you mean by 'all over the shop' it is hard to say, except as I mentioned above the VVE function in EFILive has been working fine since 2007, HPT only recently added it so who is right or wrong?

    Cheers,
    Ross

Iv'e come to this conclusion too but wasn't 100%
    Its been frustrating.
Ive tuned cars with efi live and had no issues whatsoever.
The hp vve looks fine on the 4 tables open closed etc
With efi live the map looks odd and a big dip then 2 other tables are really way off.
None of the 4 tables are the same which tells me there calculations are way off.
The other thing will it be fine to start tuning with efi live after using hp? no issues?
I realise I will need to retune the car.

I have tuned on the same VVE with both efi and hpt and didnt have any issues adjusting with either software. I dont like doing that but it did work.

The main difference or problem if you will between the 2 software is that HPT shows 5kpa difference and does not show 1bar,2bar or 3bar scaling. It seems by default they are only going from 5 to 180kpa i think it is. But they allow you to change the axis values.

In short, I would not trust the hpt vve tables as a good basis if you start playing with vve in efilive. or if you use hpt after using efilive, DONT TOUCH THE VVE MAP.

What happens when you go the other way (edit with EFILive, open with HPT)...?

Haven't tried efi live on this car its only been tuned on hp.
I thought it may be me but on the dyno afrs are good if anything low 12s on the rich side.
But could never get rid of this cutting out at low rpm.

Yeah the hp tables are the same open /closed etc.
In efi live they are all different. Go figure. Same tune.
Anyway ill be switching to efi live and I'm sure my issue will go away.
All the cars ive tuned with efi live ive had no issues.
