    Download here:
    Known Issues:
    Issue #1:
If you are Black Box Logging PIDs from an ECM and TCM simultaneously and you have selected a PID from the transmission controller (TCM) that has an identically named PID in the engine controller (ECM), then when the log file is loaded back into the V8 software for viewing, that TCM PID will be displayed as if it originated from the ECM. The PID's data will have correctly been logged from the TCM, only its name will appear to indicate that it was logged from the ECM.
    Workaround:
    None.
It is a restriction of the *.efi (V7.5 log file format). That restriction will be removed and the TCM PIDs will display their true origin once the V8 scan tool software is available and fully integrated with the V8 tuning tool software.

    Issue #2:
When logging DMA PIDs (i.e. PIDs whose names end with "_M" or "_DMA"), if the ignition is switched off for an extended period while data logging but data logging is not terminated, then when the ignition is switched on again the data log automatically continues. However the DMA PIDs may no longer return valid data.
    Workaround:
EFILive recommends stopping the data log and restarting the data log when switching off the ignition for extended periods.

While greatly appreciate the few 2018 csp operating systems that have been added but are you going to add in 2016 and 2017 OS that have been over looked?

You need to give Windows 10 permission to write/update files in the C:\Program Files (x86)\EFILive\V7.5\Configuration folder. To do that:

    1. Open Windows Explorer.
    2. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\EFILive\V7.5\Configuration.
    3. Right click on the "Configuration" folder name and select "Properties".
    4. Select the [Security] tab page.
    5. Click on the [Edit] button.
    6. Click the [Add] button.
    7. Type in your Windows username (if you don't know your Windows user name, click [Advanced], then [Find now] and select your username from the list and click [OK]).
    8. Click [Check Names] to make sure the name you entered is valid (it may change to prefix your computer name to the username).
    9. Click [OK].
    10. Make sure the newly added username is selected in the list and check/activate the "Full control/Allow" check box.
    11. Click [OK].
    12. Click [OK].

    Regards

V7.5 & V8 unusable after this update. Tried above instructions, did not help. Tried uninstalling and deleting program files and then fresh install. This did not help either still getting same errors. Cant close program endless errors keep popping up.

    For V7.5 issues:

To completely reset V7.5 to factory/install defaults, close all EFILive V7.5 software, uninstall, run "regedit" and remove the entire V7 registry hive from here: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\EFILive\V7.5 then re-install.
You could try modifying the V7 Tune Tool desktop icon (right click and select properties) so that the "Target" field has a " /l" at the end. (that's space, forward slash, lower-case L, without the quotes).
Then run the tune tool "as administrator" by right clicking on the icon and selecting "Run as Administrator", that will create a StartupLog.txt file in the \Program Files (x86)\EFILive\V7.5 folder.

Try looking in that trace file to see if it shows any issues.

    -----------------------------------------------------
    For V8 issues:

To completely reset V8 to factory/install defaults, close all EFILive V8 software, uninstall, delete the V8 install folder: \Program Files (x86)\EFILive\V8
    and delete the three files:
    Documents\EFILive\V8\Config\EFILiveScanAndTuneLayo ut.ini
    Documents\EFILive\V8\Config\EFILiveHapi.ini
    Documents\EFILive\V8\Config\EFILiveScanAndTune.ini

Try starting the V8 software by double-clicking on the V8 Scan and Tune desktop icon while holding down the Ctrl key on the PC keyboard. That will create startup log file(s) in the folder: \Documents\EFILive\V8\Trace called
    EFILive_ScanAndTune_StartupLog.txt
    EFILive_Hapi_StartupLog.txt
Try looking in those trace files to see if they show any issues.

If those options don't help, please create a support ticket, as per these instructions: https://support.efilive.com/kb_artic...7778-QEKN-0400

Sorry it was a computer issue. Tried to use anther tuning software and it was having errors as well. Just use that laptop for tuning so I did a reset and all is working well now. Not sure what the issue was just easier to reset and start over. Thanks for your quick response though.
