    Default What ECM in 2019 GM 1500 Trucks ?

    What ECM in 2019 GM 1500 Trucks? Is it E92 or new ECM
    Will it be tuneable or not ?

    E92 Done a few. Ross have even patched in Vats removal.

    Wesam, just be mindful that many of the new GM vehicles are now using ECM's we don't (and might not ever) be supporting. These are the E88, E90, E99 and E01.

    If GM going that route but other company can tune it ( E99 )
    Why you will not ?
    Will you lose your market that easy ?

    Well for starters you are paying $2,000 just for an unlocked E99 ECM per vehicle, then add tuning on top. I remember when we put our license prices up just $25 and the push back we got from that was astonishing so it is odd that people are now willing to pay $2,000+ to be able to tune something.

    Because the process is very involved and from what I've heard involves swapping over CPU's on the PCB. Something we are not in a position to offer or look in to offering.

    Easy? I'd hardly call what they are doing as 'easy'.
    We might lose one segment of our business (2019+ vehicles) as more start to use this level of protection, but come 2020 when GM go to encrypted CAN with encryption done on a per vehicle basis then it's all over for GM tuning anyway.
