    Default Harrop Hurricane intake troubles

    Hi guys,
it is more than 10 years that I read with great interest this forum.... and allways I have found solutions to my problems only using the magic button... "SEARCH".

But there is always the first time for everything.....

I customer have a C5 Corvette with 383 rotating assembly, Edelbrock heads and unknow camshaft...... with Harrop Hurricane ITB intake.
The car wasn't running because the drive by wire was always in error.

Now, after some research, I have found (and solved) a problem with TPS mounting tab and spring loaded leverism. The car idles, run and drive nearly well..... at least to start to do some serious datalogging to tune the engine.

The big problem is that after few minutes of driving the engine go in limp mode with C1278 and P1514 erros.

My feeling is that the problem is coming from ABS because you can keep revving the engine in the garage for the whole afternoon.

    Any suggestion ?
Anyone with Harrop ITB installed with succes ?

Thanks a lot from an Italian guy

In the Engine Diagnostics section of the tune file, look at the various sanity tables... you will have to modify the tables that deal with ETC.

Have your FlashScan plugged in to your PC/laptop when you open the tune file.

    I know these tables,

C6101 is maxed out at 4'095,9

C6102 is maxed out at 4'000

But seems not working as expected

May I change in the TPS tables C3906 or C3907 ???

Any ITB setup I would highly recommend going to Alpha N for 3/4s of the fueling control. ITB will have almost full atmospheric pressure at the slightest throttle crack. This will make your normal VE table almost a 2d table. I'll attach the tune for one of the latest ones I have done.

Thanks for the inpput..... but this will be next step.

Now my problem is to avoid limp mode, even cruising around the block at very low speed.

    Please help me...

Make sure that the throttle blades are not sticking.

    Thanks for suggestion...
After long process of alignment and tuning the blades are moving smoothly.....

When I have the limp mode I have these errors:

    C1278 and P1514

Then if I reset the erros and maybe I can drive for 40 minutes with no problems..... or again limp mode in 5 minutes.... I'm losing my head !!

I agree with joecar... it's tripping out on one of your sanity tables.

Can you post your tune file and a log with it going into limp mode?

Without a log of it going into limp mode, I'm just guessing... but try this adjusted tune file.
