do you use a license when reading a tune from the PCM?
(can i pull a tune from a car without being locked to it?)
i ask because i have met some people with new cars
and was wondering because i want to collect as many tunes as i can
and i don`t want to waste a license/vin.

Nope, you can read as many tunes as you like. Only uses a license if you want to flash a new tune into the PCM.
