Default Just updated my V2 and I cannot edit or save tunes.

Probably a silly one but help anyway? I've just updated to the latest software and firmware, so I know that my laptop is connecting to the V2. However when I try to load a tune for editing the screen comes up with "Demo only" and file cannot be saved. Is this a usb issue? I have a reasonably modern Dell running W7pro.

Edited to add. I am using V7.5. latest version.

Demo means your license info isn't there now, Help->Register EFILive and enter the details from your blue card from V2 purchase.

Thanks for your reply. Is this a normal occurrence when updating software, that it loses the registration. I've done this many times in the past with no problem.

I've just bought another much smaller Dell laptop and loaded the latest efilive programmes on it and this one connected to my V2 right away no problem, so It would be helpful to know if this is hardware specific or just an idiosyncrasy?

EDit to say I've just flashed in a tune using V8, and wow, what a difference, lightening fast. Well done Efilive team.

Not typically, I've only had it happen to me a few times in the last ~13 years.

There is an issue with the FTDI driver and some superspeed USB hubs (think USB3.0). I've gone as far as disabling USB3.0 on one of my laptops so my V2 would connect to it reliably.

V8 is pretty awesome, really fast flash times compared to V7.5 on most controllers.
