Stupid user - need autocal explained

Hi all, could someone please take time to explain some EFI live autocal basics to an admittedly ignorant user. I have an autocal that came with a delete kit and I installed the tune with the deletes. Ran great. Got the unlock code and had another tuner custom tune for some modifications. Runs great.

Can I put the old tune file on the device and use the old tune by flashing to the truck? Will I need another unlock code ? If I do this can I keep the new tune? How do I do this on my laptop...I do have the software downloaded.

Load Tune into the AutoCal from an Email

Download and Install EFI Live V8

From there open up EFI Live V8 Scan and Tune , Plug in AutoCal to USB , Check the Firmware and Updates

Save the BBX file to your Computer
Navigate to the BBX file and double click ,it will open in EFI Live Scan and Tune
Click Program Quick Setup to copy the files to the Autocal
Once completed you can unplug the Autocal and go out to the truck.


Load Tune into Truck from the AutoCal

Unplug the CSP5 Switch
Plug in AutoCal and turn Key on
Scroll down to Full 2
Click Ok
Checking
Erasing wait
Flashing %
Wait for the Flash to complete
When completed turn off the Key and hit Ok
Countdown will Start
Unplug

So I can save each file to my computer and save whichever one I want to the autocal whenever I want to change tunes ?

Anytime the power level is changed we recommend that you do the drive learn...*

Simply put 30 or so miles of STOP and GO driving at very*light*throttle*will normally be enough for this to happen on a stock*transmission.*

I have a revmax valve body, bd converter, doe pan and case brace. I also have a snap on scan tool and can do the learn procedure on the trans...

No, not a*"relearn"*(a relearn is done with a scan*tool*and resets the adapts to factory standard) but rather a drive learn

summitbound This is only true if the same tuner wrote both tunes. This doesn't seem to be the case here. It appears The OP has unlinked his autocal from the original tuner and to to one who wrote the custome tune. If this is the case you cannot use the original tune unless you relink the autocal to the original tuners flashscan.

To the OP. You can only flash tunes from a single tuner with an autocal device. You can use as many tunes from that tuner you like. No other tuners files will work and fail to flash. The autocal device is linked to a tuners flashscan so therefore the tunes saved with that flashscan are the only tunes that will work with the Autocal. Think of the autocal as a slave device of a master flashscan.

If you want to flash files from multiple tuners then you need a flashscan device.
