    Default Transmission tuning licenses

As I get licenses I get a transmission tuning license, however I have not seen where to tune a 6l80 / 90? There seem to be no settings in the software.

    Help?
    Thanks

What car/truck are you working on? If you have a six speed auto, it should have a separate TCM and calibration. You'll need to read the tune for the trans, edit, then flash it separately from the engine.

2014 GMC Sierra, I was using 7.5 to tune, I see on 8 where it says "select trans controller". Going in!

You sjould be able to read the TCM with V7.5.

I will look around, but I didn't immediately see it.

In V7.5, it's similar to reading an engine tune. When you connect, you'll get the little dialog box that asks you to choose what controller you're working with. I think the 2014 Sierra uses the E92 for the engine and the T87 for the transmission, so you'd choose T87 from the dropdown box, then read the calibration.

Although, I opened up V7.5 to double check myself, and I didn't see some of the later transmission controllers there. Maybe it's only able to be read from V8? I might have missed it.

Ahh, I think the T87 was for an 8 speed trans, T43 was still 6 speed if that's what you're working with.

My friend acquired this 2015 GMC Sierra with a 7.5 tune. We'll just wait for it to return from tire mounting and balancing before we can check the calibration. The previous owner mentioned they tried to check the transmission at T87.

Sounds good! V8 is nice because you can click auto detect, then click the trans controller and read it. Tunes can be read and edited in either 7.5 or 8, they aren't locked to one version of EFILive.
