Default T-42 stock tune for OS 24252617

I need a T42 stock tune (2008 Silverado, 5.3) that uses OS 24252617. If anyone can point me in the direction of one I would appreciate it, thanks.

You sure that's the right year/model/OS? I was bored and looked up calibrations for every gas 2008 Silverado VIN I could find and every one from the 4.3 v6 up to the 6.0 all had the 24239927 OS.

You're right. The module that came with my truck (and I believe to be faulty) uses that OS. I bought a replacement (online) and when I tried to load it I got an error looking for the OS I posted. I thought maybe the new module was a different OS for the same year truck but I haven't found that OS associated with the year/model of my truck. Now I'm thinking I have the wrong module. I read the file from my old module, so now I need to find the right module (I think). Thanks very much for your reply.

You can refer to https://tis2web.service.gm.com/tis2web with the VIN from your vehicle and see what the correct calibrations are. Or if its a project vehicle, you can use the VIN from the ECM (if it is correct!).

Thanks, I put in my VIN and it gives me the correct OS, which is what is in my tune file.

I don't think you can brick it. You will have to write all 4 modules though, I've never checked with efilive stuff though, sry.

    Do you mean "full flash"?

You SHOULD be able to full flash the tune you read from the original TCM to the new one. I don't think the T42's have the same restrictions/risks with regards to OS compatibility that newer modules tend to have.
