    Default Access DTC description list?

Is there a way to access the DTC description list in the Scan tool? For instance a buddy of mine calls and says he has a certain DTC set, but all he has is the numerical value. Is there a way I could look up the description in EFILive?

In the tune tool, type the {code} in the navigator window and hit search. Should take you to the DTC.

Thanks. I feel kinda silly for not thinking of that myself. The only problem I see is that you have to have a tune open that contains that DTC.

From scan tool only, I don't think you can do it unless you were connected to vehicle that was throwing DTC.

Could keep a link to http://www.ls2.com/forums/showthread...threadid=17992 (Elmer did a great job on this)
    and a link to www.gearchatter.com.

If you know the code, this gives the troubleshooting procedures for it.

If it's an OBDII code, they should be pretty generic between tunes.

Yes, for OBDII the DTCs should be across all tunes (don't know about gas<-->diesel).
