I have a 1998 Camaro and I was reading that the computer cant do some stuff that the other ones can.. can I just throw a 99 computer in there? Same cam shafts... or what about flash it and update it to think its a 99+

I'm afraid the 98 PCM is completely different to 99+ PCM's, and there is no simple way (that I know of or have seen) to simply change over to a 99+

Is the car going to remain N/A? If so, the 98 O/S isn't that bad, just a little more inconvient as compared to 99+up.

Even if you tweak the 98 rather firmly, it'll still work. Mine does.

I wanna boost....
Before the avalanche of 98 owners who have boosted systems running 98 OS's jump all over me...( E ) . You can and many have run setups with the 98 OS-you just have to get creative. Maybe some will scoff at the lenghts I have had to go to run a later OS- I just saw as many hoops to jump thru staying with the 98 OS.
