What maps do you guys use to tune and LS1?
Did you take a look at the AutoVE tutorial? It's a good start ...

I made all of my own. The basic concept behind tuning is knowing what's going on with the car and what tables need to be changed to fix it. Then, go to the tuning program and look at how that table is layed out. For example...say you're tuning the VE table. It's layed out with RPM's from 400-8,000 for the rows and MAP kPa's from 15-105 for the columns. So, you need to establish this in the scanning software.
**Tip** Right click in the upper left corner of the VE table (left of the 15kPa and above the 400RPM) so that the entire table turns blue and a menu pops up. Select copy with labels. When creating your columns and rows in your map, click paste labels.
So now that you have the layout, you need to determine what Data you're going to use to change the table in the tune. In this example a wideband O2 is the best choice, so you want to use the BEN (Base Efficiency Numerator) pid for the wideband you're using. The BEN is simply a pid that calculates the % error between what AFR the PCM commanded and what AFR was reported by the wideband. In order to log the BEN, you need to log the supporting pids as well.
After a log, you can use this data to update the VE by using the paste and multiply feature.
The important thing to note about all of this is that you already know what you want to change. The rest is just the process of acquiring the right data to make informative changes by constructing the right maps.
