Ok , this question has probably been asked several times , but I did not see license break down as to how the license works .
I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado and want to tune the PCM , does the engine require a license and the transmission require a license or once the PCM is licensed , both can be done through the PCM , with out additional license for each?
In other words do you license the PCM or parts of it , engine , transmission ?

Just need one license per vehicle.

If your vehicle has one controller, for both the engine and the trans (PCM) then FlashScan V1 requires only one Licenses to program that single controller.

If your vehicle has two controllers, one for the engine (ECM) and one for the trans (TCM) then FlashSCan V1 requires two Licenses to program both controllers.

FlashScan V2 allows you to reprogram one PCM or ECM AND one TCM on a single license.
