    Default setting cam sync

    Hi,

As I understand it, after having the distributor out of a 96-01?? vortec engine, you have to set the cam sync timing. We had to borrow a snap-on scanner to do this, but I was wondering...

Will the EFI LIVE software / scanner allow the user to view the cam sync timing to set it properly on these vortec engines?

I am getting into PCM programming, and reading everything I can find on this stuff, but that was one question I have never found an answer to.
    thanks,
    rb

I have EFILive and a 12200411 PCM on a 98 GMC Vortec. I don't think EFILive will show CMP offset. If it does, I've never seen it.
