    Default Knock modes

B6251 If this is set to disable above 60% Throttle does this mean the engine has no knock protection above 60% throttle ?

Im after some more information about the knock modes. It seem there are two:

RPM mode and TPS mode ?

    Default

It runs in 3 different knock modes based on the enablers: TPS mode, RPM mode, and Cylinder or Engine mode (set in B6243).

On mine, TPS mode is enabled if:
TPS% is changing more than 3% every 0.25seconds and 2%<TPS<60%.

    RPM mode is enabled if:
RPMs are changing more than 15rpm every 0.25seconds and 600<RPM<6,000.

If both are active, then the PCM will use the highest value from either one of the tables for the current conditions. If neither one are active, the PCM will revert to the knock mode set in B6243 - which is for more steady throttle/cruise conditions.
