    Default throttle cracker and follower

New to EFi live and starting slowly. Stock LS6 (CTS-V).
Despite searching previous threads, still having a tough time on throttle cracker and follower. can someone direct me to a good explanation?

My initial goal is to "tune out" poor throttle response on deceleration. When I put the clutch in (or put it in neutral) while coasting, the throttle responsiveness goes away. I want to be able to race the engine/blip the throttle while coasting by friends (or potential friends...) on the street. With the stock tune, it feels like the throttle becomes temporarily disconnected until the vehicle speed goes close to zero. Once at rest, the throttle races the engine appropriately. Any suggestions where to look?

    Interesting requirement

There are posts around that explain them - I thought one just recently...

    1) Throttle cracker is air adder which relates to RPM vs. Speed.
    2) Throttle Follower is air added for TPS%

What sort of TP% are you seeing when impressing your mates

Part of this I believe is in the setup of the car. The other part is in the tune. A car with a restrictive (stock) intake/exhaust has a good amount of backpressure. This prevents a free-er reving engine. Help the motor to breathe better with intake/exhaust mods and you'll have a more responsive setup.

In the tune, you could chop the Throttle Follower Airflow in 1/2 (multiply entire table by -50%) and change the Throttle Cracker Airflow so that the highest value is 1 gram/second (just change the ones higher than 1 gram/second). What this will do is limit the "cushion" that is applied around your right foot. There might be some side effects to doing this though....like lifting off the throttle on the highway while the drivetrain is still engaged will cause the car to slow down faster than it used to. Personally, I like having a little more control over the throttle and using the engine to help when I want to slow down. But, others may see this as a loss in comfort/driveability.

Thanks for the advice. I have already trashed the stock mufflers and replaced with glasspacks. It's a fun car, just a bit too civilized.
