I'm really beginning to think that HPT is actually a covert sales department for EFILive. They keep "refining" their software to make it worse. What other explanation can there be, aside from stupidity??

Does a license become used if only to find the PCM is Locked or does it not let it get that far if locked.

According to Chris, it won't read (read: eat a license) if the PCM is locked.

Seems a shame to have to pay money just to be able to read a PCM .

Couldn't agree more - but then again, we chose EFILive because we won't settle for anything less than the best

EFILive doesn't use up a license until you actually PROGRAM the PCM ... at least on V1 ... so you can read the setup from as many cars as you wish ...
