    Default Help Now Please!

Trying to Flash a 99 Vette:

    Read PCM, No problems

Saved stock file and adjusted cags, Rev Limits and fans.
Tried to flash the pcm and when I was done flashing the car came up with a bunch of codes and Would try to turn over and immediately shut off.

Tried to flash with the stock tune and have gotten the same results over and over.

Then tried read the pcm again and flash with the stock tune again.

Same results. The car won't start!

I need to get this guy home. If somebody has any tips, please help!

    Thanks in advance!

Thank you! Disconnected the battery and the car started. I decided to go ahead and flash in the modified .tun file afterward and got the same results as before. Disconnected the battery and all was well again.

    No problem at all!

Apparently this was one of the major issues which will be corrected in the 7.1.9 version, due out any day now. A pre-release is available at
    http://www.efilive.com/downloads/downloads_7.html#V719.

Get the latest version of FlashScan. I had the same problem with a 2001 C5, worked through a couple of beta versions and now it reads and flashes every time with no problems. The production version of 7.1.9 should be available shortly and that will eliminate the problem as well.
