Default Truck computer - In f-body

Will a 2002 Truck computer work in a f-bod, if the OS is changed to an f-body? In other words, when you change the OS does it change the operation of the PCM pins? Both are Red/Blue

My buddies 02 Silverado is actually one of the most popular OS...#12212156. I think the PCM's are pretty much universal, just different OS and Calibrations.

Yes they work, I use them all the time.

The car runs great, the only problem is the VIN mismatch. It's throwing the "AirBag" light with the code "B1001", which will stay out if I clear the code(just everytime I restart it comes back). I tried to rewrite the VIN 2x's but I'm still able to read the truck VIN. Should I change the computer VIN with the Tech2, or will that mess up my V2 License with the computer?

Im pretty sure the license is PCM ID based, not VIN. You can change the VIN without issue. I think there was an update in the v2 software recently to fix some vin change stuff. A new version just got posted today.

Check the build numbers... Im sure you dont have that one. Its too shinny and new. 7.3.3 has been out since like 43x build, now its 532 or something.
