    Default converter lock up

    looking for converter tempiture for lock up table looks like there isn't any having a lock up converter problem keeps kicking in and out of lock up at lower speeds i am running at 160 coolant temp just wanted to make sure its not close to converter lock up inable temp

    I don't think 160 is too cool, I use the 160 stat in the cars I work with. Does the vehicle have a bigger cam or higher stall converter? If so you could be getting random misfire codes, and that will cause your converter to lock and unlock like you are describing.

    Like Rhino79 said if you have H/C high stall.What I had to do was set {C5601} MISFIRE DETECTION MAX TEMP to 1* I think normal was 266* and that cured my TC locking and unlocking.Actually someone on here told me to do that,I don't know if that's the problem but you can try it..................Paul
