Default 2000 LS1 "recall" letter from Chevrolet...

That nagging "catalyst low efficiency bank x" MIL that I finally programmed out last year?

Well I get a letter from Chevrolet today telling me that there may be problems with the "right or left catalytic converter", and they will replace it for up to 10 years or 120,000 miles. I wonder if they will do both?

It's not a recall per se, but a reimbursement. Just a FYI for you - and now I guess I'll have to unprogram that fault code back to stock...

The welds on my OEM cats started to separate, and then I installed long tube headers with hiflow cats...

Will they reimburse me few hundred dollars if I just bring in my OEM cats in a box...?

I dunno. You might have better luck if you bring in the cats in a hat.

I think it's better to try and stuff 23 cats in one hat then 23 hats in one cat.

(Uh oh, Paul, what did I do wrong now?)

Yea stock cats - so far up the exhaust chain I left them there - even though here in Podunk no one cares about yhings like that. (Of course all the little beads fell out of the Oldsmobile one day and I could never find them all to put them back...

Aren't we getting a bit Suessical here? I prefer the Lorax...
