    Default What does what?

From some reading, I don't really know what product does what.
I used to have a laptop computer with computer software that would allow me to diagnose my VW jetta, ValCom.
It sounds like this stuff will allow you to build custom programs for more hp and better MGP. I've heard people were waitng for it on the diesel forums.
How do you get your computer to talk to the truck? I see a module that looks like a pocket calculator, flash scan. Is this how its programed?
I believe this can be made to give you on the fly programing changes. How is this accomplished and how many can you have at one time? I like the edge, 5 on the fly programs. Will this operate in teh same manner? I'd like 3-5 settings available. A few for HP tunes and one for highest MGP. Is this capable of doing this? Where is the best place/link to read about everything efi live can do?
    I have an 07 GMC 3500 DMax.

As of today, you need a notebook computer, and there is no "shift-on-the-fly" support for LBZ's.

If it's any consolation, my 500HP tunes tend to be very streetable.

I will build a 500hp tune for anyone who buys EFILive from me. This offer does not apply to diesel shops.

Note book isn't a big deal, but will it eventually support shift on the fly?

I can't say for sure yes or no, but it's written on the whiteboard to look at next year.

    Cheers,

    Default Hey McRat,

Did your LBZ make 500 to the wheels? How is your Ally liking that? Can you write a 500 hp program for the LBZ that's "tranny friendly"? I would buy the EFI from you then. Mine only made 421 to the wheel but I have been told repeatedly that my Allison will fail soon. I think it may be slipping a little but there are no tranny codes or limp mode.... weird.
