Thread: Problem with Trailblazer scan data.

  1. #1

Default Problem with Trailblazer scan data.

Last week I had a guy in for a baseline of his 06' Trailblazer SS. Because I didn't have the current version .555 I was unable to gain access to the BiDi controls I needed to lock the trans for a pull. Well I downloaded the new version in which it appeared I would be able to communicate with the correct controller. No deal! After some inquiring it sounded like Live V2 still does not allow BiDi control with the T42. Can someone please clarify this? I was embarrassed last night when the guy came back to try it again and it didn't work. I even tried to raise all the down shift MPH to 314 and it still down shifts under load. Which trans is this?? 4L70E?

I also noticed as it the scanner was on that the injector duty cycle at idle was 243%!

    What's the problem?

Yep, they have the E40 ECM and T42 Trans controller for a 4L70E (06 only, 07s use the E38 ECM).

Can someone tell me for sure if BiDi controls work on the T42 trans controller?

This functionality does not currently exist, and is likely to be first seen in version 8 later in the year.
