    Default Advice needed

Hi, I am new in this, did get Efilive commercial, and have made it work with car.
-99 Camaro with Comp 216/220 cam, LS6 manifold, CAI, SLP short headers/catback MM6/3.42 Gear. Has OS 09360361 Cal 9354896.
No modifications in ECM, work fine with stock tune exept cold runs but lowend torq vague. I am upgrading with ported LS6 243 Heads and question is:
Should I uppgrade to -02 F-body OS or -02 LS6 OS is ETC problem? or directly to some of custom OS? What are Pros/Cons. Advice is really appreciated Juhani

You don't really need to upgrade OS's. If you want to switch to an '02 f-body OS to take advantage of the single VE table and such, make sure you copy every possible table from your existing tune. It'll take some time... The timing values and can be significantly different from year to year. A custom OS would be more worth it IMO.

Upgrading to '02 F-body OS 12212156 is the most versatile...
it makes things easier if you ever decide to run COS3 or COS5.

As SSpdDmon said, you'll have to copy table-by-table.

Edit that - Check www.holdencrazy.com for migrated 99 to 02 files. He has one for a '99 a4 and one for a '99 m6 that have been migrated to an 02 OS.

Thanks, I uploaded -02 with -99tables, thanks HoldenCrazy, and browsed it and it has more parameters than my existing. I think I will put that in. It seems that in stock form -99 has big difference to -02, in timing 10deg? and so on. I did not find from either from where can you change reverse logout speed higher in M6, does someone know this? Both OS have shift light, thats something I want to have, more precise than from G-Tech.

My vote is for Custom OS #5. I love this OS. Dual spark maps, Open Loop fueling based on RPM vs. ECT is killer. All that can be had with COS#3 but my dual stage N20 setup is complete with #5. #5 does not solve everything but sure tastes good on toast.
