Default RPM activated Electric Cut Outs

I was reading about a QTEC controller that can control the position of electric cutouts. It also says it has automatic open or close by grounding or not grounding the trigger wire. Has anyone wired one of these into the pcm controlled it by rpm?

Could you theoretically do this in the same manner as the recent shift light post by setting the rpm at which you wanted them to open? Of course, you would have to give up the shift light.

    Thanks.

It takes approx 3-5 seconds to fully open the cutouts, then the signal would have to be removed or you will burn out the motors. You could possibly use the shift light for trigger but would need an external timer.
