Default 1/8 mile results from last night

Just got back from the local 1/8 mile track. My LBZ ran very well, I was killing everything out there. It's a 2500HD ec sb 4x4 LT2 with big tires and a 50 lb 3 ball trailer hitch. My only mods are:

    -dirty Airaid intake
    -4" catless MBRP exhaust
    -blocked off EGR valve
    -Stanadyne fuel additive
    -"Torque South" tuned with EFILive

    fastest times :

    60' - 1.878
    ET - 8.736
    trap - 78.5

That's a personal best, I am very proud of the truck and especially the bone stock Allison. What an excellent product!

1.8xx 60s are nothing to sneeze at in a big truck like that...how do you get it to hook?

Dang dude! Thats pretty darn quick for a fullsize! Man, I bet there were a bunch of guys there who were pretty pissed they got their beat by a huge fullsize truck!! LOL, I do it in my TrailBlazer too, people think its a slug, hahaha, next thing they know all they see are my tail lights!

I always run in 4hi. I get very good launches. I don't boost it too high, maybe 1500 rpm (no boost gauge yet). I am always afraid to break stuff with well over 800 lb ft torque at that rpm, but so far so good (I am running some tie rod sleeves but no cognito brace yet, and a bone stock Allison). My tires are 285/75/16 Cooper Discoverer ATs on stock rims, but I have gone 1.90 on the stock "skateboard wheels".
The truck literally HOPS out of the whole, people are always amazed. It feels very violent and powerful. I know others have gone faster, so there is still room for improvement. I am just glad that nothing has broken so far, and that I only have tuning. Everytime I get beat it's either a Cummins with a large upgraded turbo, or a Powerstroke with a big shot of nitrous. I would like a truck with tuning only to race me for money, like the big juice guys try to.

Sweet! I know for the LL8 there are different shift points for 2WD vs 4WD, are the Duramaxes the same way?

Not sure, one of my co-workers with an LL8 mentioned that also. I don't think that's the case with the Duramax, since it is 4x4 not AWD.

Well, the only TrailBlazer that is true AWD is the SS, the rest of the GMT360s use a transfer case, not a center diff. The Bravada/Rainer's use the same transfer case set full-time in the A4WD position (Automatic 4 Wheel Drive, aka slip-sensing: when the rears slip the front gets some of the power).

Its also good to know there are others who have noticed this as well, makes me remember Im not going crazy looking at my tune file!
