    Default B3647 = A0008 ???

    Hi All,
I'm new to all of this but today I thought I'd have a play and followed the custom OS installation tutorial.
I'm receiving help from a friend in QLD with this so I'm not flying solo.
When I open my tune (OS-02020003) and do a search for B3647, A0008 comes up. When I search for B3649 it says not found. The B3649 bit I understand...not available in this op system I guess.
OK, I just looked again. Sometimes when I hit the search button B3647 comes up, sometimes A0008 comes up????
    Any help advice greatly appreciated
    Thanks

    Howard

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T
MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE
    DUCT TAPE.
IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

B3647 is the Open Loop fuel table (not B3649). The A0008 table is a multiplier to the B3647 table. It is intended to be able to enrich the commanded fuel mixture based on ECT temp.

    Thanks,
I don't fully understand what these all do yet..but when I search for B3647 every second search comes up with 'search from beginning' message when I say yes, it opens A0008?
I tried the same search on another tune from a different op system and it did the same???

The search is finding the B3647 text in the description for the A0008 table, thats why The search will yield the same results for calibrations from similar PCM types (i.e. 512Kb LS1 PCM's).

B3649 is also an Open Loop fuel table in the later COS's. It's the flex fuel, ethanol version of the B3647

When the first search yields the "wrong" table, just click on B3647 in the description pane.

    Yeah...thanks joecar.
Also, if I just hit the search button again it finds the correct table.
For whatever reason I thought the search was 'table specific', ie it would only search for tables not words etc.
    I'm learning....slowly!

    In the current software release:
    • Searching for a calibration identifier will only search for the actual calibration.
    • If you enclose the calibration name in { } it will find refereneces to the calibration as well.

    Default Don't understand...

    I'm using V7.4.
If I type the number of the table into the search box and hit search, it finds all references to that number.
Is this what you mean? That is what it does now.
