    Default Truck Tune

I think I now have a pretty good tune.
Im still getting knock at WOT(high rpms)

What are the 5.3 truck guys seeing for their delievered engine torque?
At WOT I get about a ma of 290.

I have used the optimal timing table to come close to my timing.

I just want to know if I have unlocked about all the power I can get from my stock motor.

Im about to get my exhast and hopefully headers.

the access spark is comming from the fuel mixture spark correction table. If you added alot via the main table, then you will see, that you need to make adjustments to that table. As a hint, it is better to add spark at wot via the Fuel mixture table. This is due to the engine being able to handle more spark at a richer air fuel mix.

I could not find why I was running like almost 30 degrees untill I looked at the ECT adder.

Did GM dyno the engine and find the best timing to make up the optimal timing table?

One would like to hope so... But the question is, at what octane is that tested? What intake and coolant temperatures, etc?

After thinking about it and realizing that at wot it was around .58-.65 dynamic air that i was adjusting the wrong area in the timing table.
I went back and got a timing table from a 2005 truck (was trying to find one from a L33 instead becuase of the higher output than the LM7) I copied that timing table and made just a few changes to it mostly in the Low rpms. Then I raised the timing from the fuel mixture correction.

Dosent really feel any diffrent mabey a little more pull but I can't really tell.
But timing is more consistant and where i want it. Starts off at 18,19 then peaks at high 3000s then drops in the low 4000 range than after 4400 it comes back up.

Anyone else who is working with a relaively stock 5.3 what are your dynamic air numbers or delievered torque numbers. About the highest ive seen with mine was about .69 and about 306ft. lbs. If the deleivered torque is suppossed to be accurate with a proper fueling(Stock truck with stock ve table) than shouldnt my delievered torque be a little more like 320, 330. I have a log from my friends stock 6.0 2500 and his is in the 360ft. lbs range?

Im trying to go out and get another good log but for now ive got this one. For some reason I got really high Dyn Air numbers that I useally do. But on this run a had lower spark timing than I do now.

Since I noticed that I wasnt adding timing in the right place on the timing table, I looked at the optimal timing table and for the .60s grams/cyl its in the 30,31 degree range. This seems kind of high, but if should i run around this area if I have no KR?

    thanks for any help
