"Trash that carb and get Injected!"
Thanks Al, this is awesome
Hi guys,
I'm trying to calibrate my guage in my truck after installing the 0411 PCM. Do you guys know how to do that?
I have a 159L tank and can't figure out how to set it up.
I was on 1/4 tank and just filled up. I put 130L in which means there was only 29L in there...not 1/4 tank which would be closer to 40L.

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T
MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE
DUCT TAPE.
IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

I have some questions. You were on 1/4 tank before you added the fuel, correct? It is not currently reading 1/4 tank with a full tank, correct? So it should have read somewhere around 20% on the gauge before you added fuel. GM fuel gauges are notorious for not being accurate, but generally they err on the low side. You should have been reading almost empty before you filled up. Can you post your tun file or email it to me? Do you have a roadrunner, makes quick work of getting it dialed in?I was on 1/4 tank and just filled up. Thanks for the help AL.
Yeah...the guage was reading 1/4 but the tank must have only had around 29L in it as I put 130L in.
Forgot to ad....the guage was always fairly accurate before this. Seems I'm the only person around with the 159L tank.
Sorry, early morning here lol No, it doesn't read 1/4 tank with a full tank. It reads off the scale full for quite a while before moving.

This is just my opinion but I would start with checking your F0507 table with the scan tool and make sure it is accurate with the known fuel quantity in the tank. Pumping it dry when it is close to empty will show the bottom value of the sender. Once this table is pretty accurate you can use F0501 to fine tune the output of the PCM to the cluster. You will have data showing one thing in the scan tool and then make the cluster match or undercut the scan tool, ie. for a reserve. Generally GM fuel gauges stay in the full range for quite some time and then quickly go down. In other words not too linear to what is in the tank.

Thanks Al, I may play a little with your recommendations.

Thank you ChipsByAl, and Flanders (from another board) for all the hard work on the pinouts! I used both pinouts and it worked real well. The fuel gauge kept messing me up, but it is getting closer.
As a note on the "skip shift light", I am not sure if it would work as it's intended purpose, but I put RED C1 WHT to RED C1 47 as per another post and the light works, I am using it as a shift light now though. THANKS AGAIN!
I'm glad that I could be of help. What is the problem with the fuel gauge?
