    Default Caddilac tranny support?

Can I tune tranny in a 2000 STS? I think it's a 4T60 or something. I know the Northstar isn't supported, but maybe the tranny?

Default I think I answered my own question...

That year STS does not have a separate TCM. Tranny is controlled through the engine computer. I was somewhat hopeful, since there IS support for the tranny in that Caddy, but in other applications such as the Buick only. However, I found a trick way to adjust the speedo for different gears anyway...

Thanks, it was just for a co-worker that installed a junkyard tranny in his Caddy with slightly different gearing. I wanted to make corrections for him. Probably not going to follow up on that particular issue, but if anything comes up, I'll contact your friend. I appreciate the info.

The 4T80E has 2 gearing ratios that I am aware of.

3.15 for the 275hp N* (at least up to 2000 or so)
3.71 for the 300hp N* (at least up to 2000 or so)

Not sure on the newer ones....

The earlier Northstar ECM's and TCM's were pretty odd, Siemens stuff.

IIRC, dual processors and dual checksums is what makes the real headache....
