    Default Confusing EFI Live data...

    Ok, my buddy has a 2001 Dmax 2wd.. it says it has 3.73s by the RPO.
    but i found this in the TCM


    and this in the ECM.



    Whats up with that?

    That's normal.

    Yep normal for the TCM to say 4.11.

    As far as the 3.7 in the ECM, you may expand the number of places to the right of the decimal using the +.00 command in the upperish right corner.

    So its normal... thats kindof weird.
    why would it have 4.11 in the TCM?
    Does the TCM not use that value for anything?

    The TCM does use that value as others have changed it and found their shifting change as well.

    As far as I know most leave it at 4.11.

    I don't know the exact reason behind it, sometimes these things are only used as reference.
    Perhaps in this case it was something that was overlooked in the early days of the TCM calibrations development, I don't know.

    It changes the shift points a little but it's really not important IMHO. I think the TCM uses it in part of it's shift speed calculation somewhere. I have mine set to 3.73 in both the TCM and ECM. Works fine for me.
