    Default Where to start came here to learn

    Im looking to purchase EFI live before long. I have recently done some bolt ons to my SS and plan to do a cam before long. I am new to tuning anything with efi and want to know where I should start. It looks like a lot to learn is there any good books to start out with? I read some stuff here and there but its still pretty confusing when I look at the tables. I downloaded it and opened up my stock tune just to try and get familiar with the software. About the only thing I can do so far is how to get the cel to go away after deleting my rear 02 sensors and the air.

    thanks

    John,

    Welcome to the forum.

    The easiest thing to do is this:

    1. Read the "Auto VE" tutorial from here: http://store.efilive.com/download.aspx#downloads7
    Read this and follow along in the software;
    there are other tutorials there that may interest you;
    this tutorial hits various tables in the tune, and shows how to create "histogram" maps, and how you can use a wideband O2 sensor to dial in tables.

    2. In each of the scantool and tunetool, press F1 to bring up the PDF manuals for each... these are a long read, but they show the features that you'll be working with.

    3. Search the forum's subsections for various topics.

    4. Ask questions.

    That's should be enough to get started on.

    There are some books out there, but they either don't deliver, or they generalize.

    Let's see if we can come up with a list...
