    Default Setting up the dash

    Im a little confused about how it works sry im a newbie with this program and trying to learn all the aspects of the setup. Okay I figured it might be best to keep everything in metric except for mph and temps to be in fahrenheit. So right now I was just trying to setup the default dash as with everything in metric except for the temps and speedo. So I deleted the gauges in kph and celsius and changed them to mph and fahrenheit and no pids loaded yet so they had a line through them. I then load the default imperial pid and the lines dissapear. Now the pids show both metric and imperial under units under the f8 tab. So will it work correctly like that? Also if I change everything in the tuner to metric except for the temps and mph will I have any problems with units matching when I get my wb and do autoVE. I just want everything to sync up correctly. All this imperial/metric crap why cant the US just use metric like every1 else and then we wont have to worry about this lol. Thanks

    The dash gauges should work correctly because a selected pid has both of its units available; a gauges 's properties (right click->Properties) you will see that the Parameter pull-down selection box shows both metric and imperial versions of each pid.

    Now to match up the scantool pids to the tunetool, you have to do this:
    1. in scantool, PIDs F8 tab, right click on each pid and select metric or imperial;
    2. in tune tool, edit data/col/row units to match step 1.

    see this: showthread.php?t=164

    For example, I set my units as follows (mixed metric and imperial):
    speed MPH
    temperature F
    MAP kPa
    airflow gram/s
    airmass gram/cyl
    torque ftlb
    trans. pressure psi

    See post #1 of this thread ("Configuring units in tune tool"): showpost.php?p=27274&postcount=1

    Edit: I was in primary school (grade school) when Aust. officially went metric, so I learned both, lol...
