    Default How do I add to max timing?

    I haven't gotten that far into my tuning adventure yet. Actually, I haven't really done any 'tuning' yet. The most I've done is turn off a few annoying features.

    I'm gonna attach my .tun file to this post. Does someone wanna take a look at it for me, particularly the history tab and let me know if the small steps I've taken so far are the correct one?

    Back to the added timing part. I dynoed my car (stock '03 Z06 w/ Corsa Ti exhaust, sans cats) and it put down 375 on a dynojet, uncorrected I believe. We took out the filter for the next run and it put down 381. He then temporarily added 4* of timing to it and it put down 387. Now, I'm going to put the car on a different dyno tomorrow for shits and giggles (3 pulls for $25 ) and am wanting to go ahead and up my timing permanently. Would I be correct to:

    1. Go to the High Octane spark table.
    2. go to the lower right corner of the table.
    3. select a sizable section of said corner.
    4. Up it all by 4*

    ???

    Is this the correct way to do it?

    Lots more to read before I really get into this stuff, but, this is just for the time being and to see if I can feel a difference. Once I get my LC-1 installed, I'll start from the beginning, from scratch, and do it all the correct way.

    yes the high octane table is where you'll want to add timing. Just select the RPM and air flow range you want to add to and go from there. Start from around 0.72/5600 and go up from there.

    I screwed around with a few things for you as its a bit of a mess. Have a look if you like.

    Damn, thanks man. I won't have the first clue where to start on doing whatever you just did, which appears to be a lot.

    I'll load that up and report back what it puts down.

    P.S. - Any idea why the stock tune has all those whacky spikes in the fuel cut and ETC contols? I noticed those before but never messed with them.

    Also, those tables are beautiful. So smooth I want to rub them...

    I didn't really do that much dude. Just added a few values I like to use and did a bit of smoothing.
    yeah i saw those spikes in the cut out tables going up to 9000rpm. weird
