Authentication Code

Often when customers enquire about PCM/VIN licenses on their FlashScan cables, EFILive support require two pieces of information: The FlashScan Serial Number and the FlashScan Authentication Code. Here's how to find them:

1. Connect FlashScan to the PC.
2. Run the Tuning Tool Software.
3. Select the menu option:
4. Help->FlashScan V1 PCM licensing
   or
   Help->FlashScan V2 VIN licensing

Please note, the Authantication Code is not the same thing as the Registration Key. The Authentication code contains 3 segments, the Registration Key (printed on the Blue license card) contains 4 segments.

The Authentication code will be updated each time a new PCM/VIN license is added. Actually as noted by some customers, the Authentication code is a rolling code and also changes each time the EFILive software is restarted.
