How do you change the VIN when upgrading to a newer OS?

I have a 00 and I want to upgrade to an 02. I found the 99 migrated to an 02 and it all looks the same as my stock 00 tune. How do I transfer my VIN to the newer tune? Thanks!

Copy/paste...you can change the VIN field that pops up when you first open a tune. When you do a full re-write, it'll load.

Thanks for the help. I got it switched over. I guess I'm ready to reflash it then try a custom tune. Thanks again for the help.

Even after doing a full write, you'll still need to change the VIN either by using the scan tool (easiest) or use the PCM security option in the tune tool. There is an option within there to change the VIN.
