    Default IATs under Boost

I have a homemade twin turbo setup on my 98 GMC ( Non LSx engine ). I made the intercooler out of 3 SAAB cores. I am running the 12200411 LS based PCM. I have the IAT sensor mounted in the manifold just behind the throttlebody. Even at 15lbs of boost, the IATs only go up about 5 degrees.
Is this possible? The IAT sensor seems to work properly, but I would expect the IATs to rise more than this. Is this small of a rise in temp possible or should I install a new IAT sensor?

    Hey Jeff,

You could always throw in a bung before the inlet to the intercooler and see if you get higher temp readings. Would be a cool experiment maybe your intercooler is working that good. Can one of the aux datalogging inputs read a gm temp sensor?

    Hey Max,

I may try that. I would like to think that the intercooler is working that good. A 305 with 15 lbs of boost is a LOT of fun.
