Default VE Table Single or dual fire injector modes.

On my 98 s10 in the fuel section. Under the table, low rpm ve. It has single fire and double fire. In the description it says the double fire table is for when the injectors are in double fire mode. Can someone explain when do my injectors go to double fire mode if at all? Ive just been tuning the low rpm single fire mode table. thanks

I'm not sure of this... but this is what ran thru my mind:

single fire = sequential mode (each injector fires once every 2 crank revolutions; the injectors fire one at time in sequence).

double fire = batch mode (each injector fires twice every 2 crank revolutions; the injectors fire all together in a batch).

But I'm not sure of this so I may be wrong.
