    Default CAL file format

Does anyone know exactly what the file format is of a CAL file? Is that binary or encrypted?

It's an efilive proprietary format, presumably defining the file structure of the particular OS in question.

So there's no other way to navigate the data than to use the app? Hrm.

I think I just replied to your email... They are binary and are more than likely encrypted. They are EFILive intellectual property and will not be made available outside of the EFILive applications.

Ah well, thanks for the info. Someone on an online job board (http://www.scriptlance.com/projects/1188217090.shtml) was looking for a developer to parse the files. I guess it actually sounds like they're looking for someone to hack them.

Thanks runrun, looks like they forgot to read the EULA.
Dumb part is they list the posters details -

    Username: arico100
    Company: AMSCORP
Location: DES PLAINES, IL, United States

    Cheers,

You can get an HTML listing of the calibrations, use File->Export Calibration List.

You can add your own calibrations that you want to edit using the *.cal extension file format: *.cax
It is currently undocumented but it will be fully documented and publicly available in the EFILive V8 release.
But if you have the required information and a real need to add your own calibrations, contact me at paul@efilive.com.

Meanwhile, reverse engineering the EFILive software and/or configuration files is prohibited by the End User License Agreement, here:
    http://www.efilive.com/eula.aspx

You must not modify, reverse engineer, decrypt or decompile the EFILive software or configuration files, or any part of them. You must not use or allow any other party to use the EFILive Software and/or the configuration files (or any part of them) to reverse engineer, recreate, or otherwise replicate in anyway any of the information within or generated by the EFILive Software and/or the configuration files (or any part of them), or any of the attributes of the EFILive Software and/or the configuration files (or any part of them).
    Regards
