    Default 2007 Tbss tune help

I have a friend wth a 2007 Tbss (e67). I started to tune truck for his cai and remove slip bang 1st to 2nd shift. I want to get rid of the "lag" when you punch the truck. Me being the newbie that I am, I cant figure out what to change. I am guessing it is in the "fly by wire" throttle parameters but dont know were to look. Anyone care to help or point me in the right direction.

    It won't be ETC response.
You need to see what the timing is doing, if it pulls a bunch of timing as you launch, there's your problem.

    Cheers,

OK, its an E38 ECM, the TBSS only uses the E40 (06 MY only) or the E38 (07-08 ) and the T42 trans controller.

What you need to do is pull a reasonable amount to Torque Management from the engine and transmission sections. You should not, however, 0 the tables out like I can do with my regular TB as the 4L70E can barely hold up the LS2 stock with all the TM, just be smart and dont pull more than like 50%. Shouldnt need to mess with ETC stuff, Id start by reducing the shift times, pulling TM, adding a few * to the spark table (logging of course), and seeing what that does. I know for my 02 I6 it made a heck of a difference in the feel of the engine, and the LS2 is bigger and better...

Would you mind posting the tune as well, just do I can see an 07 TBSS tune? thx

I will check timing but I didnt notice any being pulled out . I did reduce TM by 75% and quickened shifts.I do have a local guy that is going to help me with the tune.
On my 06 TBSS I had 0 Tm and the trans held up fine (over 100 passes). The killer to that trans was nitrous, even then it didnt totally fail but I did freshin it up when I got the converter.

BTW....This site ROCKS!! Everyone seems to help each other out. Thanks for helpin this newbie.

No prob man, if you have an 06 SS you know what Im talking about. Guys have been blowing up the 4L70Es stock, IMO the tuned guys are lasting a little longer as the shifts are quicker and not slipping as much. And I think the 07-08s have more conservative TM settings IIRC than the 06s after GM realized how many trans' they were replacing.

Hey man, I opened the TCM file just fine, but the ECM file gives me an unrecognized ECM warning? I just downloaded the E67 update again and am running tune tool build 659, any suggestions?

I did the update 2nd one, I assumed the other E67 stuff was already incorporated into the latest release. Works now.
