Can i flash my VIN in a used PCM?

I'm going to buy another pcm for my 97 vette and was wondering if I can flash my vin in to this used pcm so I can tune it? I have Flashcan tuning V1 commercial. If so how do you do it?

In the tune tool select the icon that looks like a key. It has the options for locking, vat relink and VIN changing. Get the current vin that is programmed into the pcm from the calibration window and put that in the current vin field. Then put the one you want into the new vin field
