I asked a mate of mine at GM who says he's pretty sure it won't crank without the PCM (not 100% sure though). He's sure the E38's won't crank without the PCM.

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T
MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE
    DUCT TAPE.
IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

I can email you the starting circuit wiring diagram if you need Howard. As far as I can tell, it does not involve the pcm though... It does however involve the trans range switch on the side of the trans. There is some room for adjustment there, it may not be in park/neutral even though the gearshift is.

Well guys..after two days of tearing my hair out...(actually...lucky I have none) and a ripping migraine (stess related and lack of sleep I'm sure) and pulling my wiring apart atleast 6 times.
You're not going to believe this.
I found a 'kill switch' that the previous owner had installed.
Goes to a pressure switch under the carpet!
I found the bypass by accident. Laying under the dash...I must have pushed it whilst I was installing the Hydroboost unit!
Pushed it, turned the key...truck idles!
Hooked upto the PCM and read it!
    Damn!
    Thanks everyone for the help.
I have a few issues to resolve and need to do alot of testing.
